From automated irrigation systems to intelligent drones and satellite-guided machinery, farmers are witnessing significant improvements in efficiency while reducing water consumption and labor demands.
For many growers, the changes have been remarkable. Ye Jitao, who manages a local farming cooperative, remembers when irrigation required several families to share limited water resources, often forcing them to wait days before watering their fields. Today, a modern pipeline network connected to the Yellow River allows water to reach crops with a few taps on a smartphone, making the entire process faster and far more reliable.
Across the province, precision agriculture has become increasingly common. Despite the progress, challenges remain. Smaller farms still face the cost of purchasing advanced equipment, while training workers to operate digital systems requires additional time and investment.
